Columbus Tower

DSA Engineering provided Mechanical, Electrical, Public Health and Fire Protection Engineering services for this 62-storey mixed-use tower in the London Docklands comprised of a 130-room boutique 5-start hotel in the base of the tower and residential apartments above.

The project incorporates fuel cells operating as a CHP plant and an innovative dockwater evaporative cooling system with night-time storage.

The building sits directly over the future West India Quay Crossrail station and the structural system has to span across the tunnels, which created a unique coordination between the structure and underslab services.
